ABOUT Carmen Terrell

Receptionist/Intake Coordinator

Having been a previous client and the most recent member of Hill Law Group as the Receptionist/Intake Coordinator, I am very excited to be a part of such a professional team. My husband and I were referred to Hill Law Group for guidance with asset protection and Medicaid benefits due to my mother-in-law’s sudden health decline. As caregivers, we were extremely grateful to April Hill for providing us with a smooth transition during such difficult times.

Being the first point of contact in an office is no easy task, but I wouldn’t want any other position. One of my favorite questions is “How may I help you?” and it is my sincerest hope that we can. My attention to detail, compassion and understanding are among my best attributes, and I look forward to providing our clients with the same experience that I encountered.

I am originally from Bucharest, Romania, and my parents immigrated to New York City in 1974 to escape communism and have a chance at freedom. My three siblings and I, the youngest of all, were miraculously granted permission to leave Romania after one long year without our parents. Having arrived in America at the age of seven, and simply because of my age, I was placed into the second grade without knowing a word of English. Within four years, the teachers determined that I should be placed into advanced English classes and the rest is history. The experience of learning a new language and a new culture was both stimulating and adventurous. I am truly thankful and blessed for my parents’ sacrifices and efforts in making a better life possible for their children. I am also very proud to have become a naturalized citizen of the United States of America.

I enjoy visits to local parks and beaches, cooking a variety of ethnic dishes, playing tennis and planning a trip to Italy within the next year.
